Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Klaviyos strive to make the world more equitable in interactions with everyone from our customers to our colleagues.

"Klaviyo as a product, and a business, requires a mindset that values diversity and equity. We believe valuing inclusion is both the smart and right thing to do - we don’t need the business case for DEI here. We are early in our journey as a scaling company which allows us to proactively embed DEI strategy into the infrastructure of how we operate. In order for us to make the impact we want to with our product, we have to authentically and intentionally invest in DEI internally to help those achieve externally."

- Sanjala Chitnis, Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Programs
DEI Page A Sense Of Community

A sense of community

Klaviyo Resource Groups (KRGs) are grassroots community resources, sponsored by our DEI team, built around a shared identity and/or lived experience (including allies). KRGs provide a sense of community and serve as critical consultants for the business. We currently have six KRGs (three in the UK), and several more in development.

DEI Krgs In Action

KRGs in action

KRGs host programs every month, and events are open to all Klaviyos. Over 77% of Klaviyos are involved in at least one KRG. Over the past year, our KRGs have hosted over forty-five events, with speakers ranging from Dr. Matthew Delmont, a Guggenheim Fellow and expert on African-American History, to activist and cultural consultant Humaira Ghilzai for a conversation about the history of women in Afghanistan, and Drag Race contestant Jujubee!
