The HR Director is responsible for driving the strategic people initiatives across the EMEA region. This role leads the Regional HRBP and Operations team and partners across Global People team functions.  In partnership with business leaders and Global HRBPs, this role aligns the HR strategy to business objectives, enhances team performance, supports employee development, plans strategic HR initiatives, and leads the team through execution. They are experts at driving large-scale change management in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The HR Director is a sounding board and thought partner, coaching executives and leaders and acting as a trusted advisor to the business. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic HR business partnership and coaching to people leaders to impact the engagement, development, and retention of talent across the region
  • In partnership with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team, serves as an advocate, coach, and facilitator for building diverse and inclusive teams
  • Utilises data to derive insights on people trends to recommend, implement, and manage projects and programs
  • Identifies organisational gaps, and deploy impactful people strategies that enables teams to perform effectively, and scale efficiently
  • In partnership with the Talent Management COE, supports the creation, launch, and execution of all Talent Management initiatives such as performance reviews, succession planning, and organisational design
  • Provides counsel and guidance on complex employee relations situations
  • Collaborates with Global HRBP and COEs to build and implement programs and initiatives across EMEA
  • Supervision and inspirational leadership to the EMEA People team
  • A member of the EMEA Leadership team 
  • Ensures adherence to regional compliance and statutory requirements
  • Prepares the region for scale and has the ability to balance short term needs with long range planning

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to draw insights and influence data-driven decisions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, listening, and presentation skills
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and a self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage multiple, complex, competing priorities
  • Proven ability to drive change management in a rapidly scaling environment
  • Expertise navigating within ambiguous situations, with high levels of autonomy
  • Experience identifying, designing, and deploying HR interventions within the business
  • Demonstrated experience and a passion for strong collaboration with others (People team COEs, cross-functional partners, HRBP peers, etc.) to build world class teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coach leaders and executives at all levels of the organisation on personal and team development
  • Demonstrated experience and a passion for strong collaboration with others (People team COEs, cross-functional partners, HRBP peers, etc.) to build world class teams
  • HRIS experience, such as Workday, as well as proficiency in Microsoft or Google Suites
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 8+ years of HRBP experience, with direct experience supporting SaaS, start-ups, or other rapidly scaling organisations within tech
  • 5+ years experience leading and supervising others
  • Experience influencing and advising leaders on talent and employment situations
  • Experience coaching teams and leaders at all levels of the organization on personal and team development
  • Current human resources and/or compensation credentials or certification preferred.
